THEATER IN THE WILD: If I Ran the Minnesota Zoo

“Oh the thinks you can think if only you try.”

The Minnesota Zoo has partnered with SteppingStone Theatre to bring Dr. Seuss’ wacky world of wildlife and colorful characters to life, through up-close animal encounters, tumbling, juggling, puppetry, and so much more!

SteppingStone’s visual and performing artists will team up with Zoo naturalists as they encourage campers to design and create everything from costumes, stage makeup and sets to a mini–production of “From A to Zooess”—you could not, would not, want to miss a performance like this!

Please contact the Minnesota Zoo for registration information:

Camp Wabasha Goes Down Under

Join ArtStart, Science Museum of Minnesota, and SteppingStone Theatre on a journey to the southern hemisphere to explore Australia.

It will be like swimming through the Great Barrier Reef when you create a diorama, inflatable sea life sculpture and beautiful shell art.

As geologists and biologists you will head into the outback and trek along the coast seeking the unique geologic features and unusual animals of Australia.

Powered by your imagination, jump on stage and travel back and forth through time exploring Aborigine folktales and contemporary theater games in this high energy camp.
